The NTU University Advancement Office (UAO) supports the University’s giving mission by fostering meaningful relationships and strategic partnerships with philanthropists, alumni, business community partners, corporations, foundations and friends that result in goodwill and philanthropy towards education and research that underpin a shared sustainable future.
The Marketing Communications Manager is responsible for the creation of marketing materials to connect with the University’s stakeholders, foster a sense of community, and mobilize financial support, cultivating a culture of philanthropy that enhances our ability to secure the resources necessary for continued excellence in education and research.
Responsibilities:
Development and production of marketing materials
Develop and produce marketing materials for advancement campaigns in a variety of formats, including print, video, and digital, for major gifts and annual giving campaigns.
Management of crisis communications
Working closely with the Lead, Marketing Communitions on issues and crisis communications in fundraising-related matters such that the University’s communication response is coordinated, timely, and effective.
Development and implementation of communication strategies for principal and major gifts
Draft compelling messaging and materials that resonate with donors, including proposals, case statements, and campaign collateral.
Provision of communications support for the Chief Development Officer (CDO)
Consistent and communications support for the CDO on critical areas including research, speech writing, publicity, and stakeholder engagement. Work with the Lead to ensure that the University's messaging is clear, consistent, and impactful.
Requirements:
Degree in Communications, Marketing Communications, Journalism or a related field
About 4 years of experience in communications work
Excellent writing and proofreading skills
Adept at writing across a range of styles for a wide spectrum of stakeholders and audiences
Excellent problem-solving skills in communications and project-management
Able to think critically, and respond effectively to changing needs and requirements of projects and programmes
Able to conceptualise and contribute to communications strategy and plans
A good understanding and working proficiency of social media and/or digital platforms
Highly creative thinker and able to supervise junior team members in communications and writing
Exceptional planning and organisational skills with a demonstrated ability to meet deadlines, work under pressure and
establish priorities, with a commitment to quality outcomes.
