Senior Assistant Manager, Student Development

Established in 1981, the School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering (EEE) https://www.ntu.edu.sg/eee is one of the founding Schools of the Nanyang Technological University. Built on a culture of excellence, the School is renowned for its high academic standards and research. It is one of the largest EEE schools in the world, with more than 130 faculty members and an enrolment of more than 4,000, of which about 1,000 are graduate students.

We invite applications for the position of Senior Assistant Manager, Student Development. The incumbent shall manage all aspects of student life and support for MSc programmes.

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Student Engagement and Support: To create programs and initiatives to enhance student engagement, involvement, and overall satisfaction.

  • Student Development and Well-being: To support the personal and academic growth of students through workshops on various topics such as stress management, career development, time management, and mental health, ensuring students' holistic well-being.

  • Student Leadership and Skill Development: To provide opportunities for student leadership and skill development as well as establish partnerships with local businesses, organizations, and community leaders to provide additional resources and opportunities for students.

  • Crisis Management and Support: In times of crises or emergencies, to provide support and resources to students.

  • Alumni Engagement: To establish direction and execution of alumni events and communications.

Requirements:

  • At least a good bachelor’s degree from a recognized Institute of Higher Learning.

  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in student life and support.

  • Possess strong communication skills and problem-solving skills with good time management.

  • Able to handle stress and passionate in assisting students.

  • Experience in counselling and pastoral care will be an advantage.

  • Possess a “can-do” attitude, ability to work fast and independently.

  • A team player with strong interpersonal skills.
