Job Description: General Manager (Seafood Manufacturing)
Our Client:
Our client is one of the leading industry player in the sea cucumber manufacturing and wholesale sector.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership and Succession Planning:
- Establish a strong working relationship with the current stakeholder.
- Work towards taking over the full production process with the ultimate goal of succession planning.
Operational Excellence:
- Oversee the entire operations, including supply chain, warehouse management, sales support, and sales.
- Implement modern and tech-enabled practices to streamline and enhance efficiency.
Business Growth:
- Utilize existing network resources to explore opportunities for business growth.
- Develop and implement strategies to overcome existing growth limitations.
Professionalization:
- Bring a high level of professionalism to the business operations.
- Implement modern business practices, especially in areas where the business is currently run in an old-school manner.
Team Management:
- Manage and mentor a team of 6-7 professionals, fostering a collaborative and growth-oriented environment.
- Evaluate and bridge gaps in capabilities within the existing team.
Tech Integration:
- Implement technological advancements to enhance production processes and overall efficiency.
- Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in sea cucumber manufacturing.
Travel and Expansion:
- Minimal travel required initially. However, the role may involve up to 4-5 trips annually for less than a week each in future.
- Play a pivotal role in potential business expansion strategies.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Proven leadership experience in F&B or FMCG manufacturing or related industries is preferred.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build strong relationships, particularly with the current owner.
- Strong operational acumen with the ability to handle end-to-end operations.
- Experience in implementing modern and tech-enabled solutions.
- Demonstrated success in business growth and professionalization.
Remuneration:
- During probation: $7K-$9K per month.
- After probation: $10K-$12K per month, plus profit-sharing based on performance.
