Roles & Responsibilities
The Director of Sales and Marketing leads the team to increase revenue from room sales. He/She works in achieving sales revenue targets as assigned. He/She writes, carries out and monitors revenue plans to achieve objectives. He/She finds new opportunities for the team to meet sales targets. He/She stays in contact with all clients to bring about client satisfaction.
He/She makes sure deadlines of projects are met. He/She assesses situations and plans solutions. He/She has to track competitors' activities and assist in gathering market intelligence. He/She also oversees all marketing and communications initiatives. He/She works in line with the property's vision and goals. He/She boosts property brand awareness to ensure a competitive edge, while maintaining strategic partnerships with external stakeholders.
Besides managing the department's budget, he/she plans training for the sales team within the marketing budget, and by company standards. He/She has to work with Division and Department heads to resolve any operational issue/challenges. Finally, he/she has to abide by all company policies and ensure that these are implemented within the team.
