Responsibilities
- Administer and maintain fleet management software solutions, including vessel ERP, crew management, and fleet system integration.
- Work with software developers to customize and improve software that will support fleet management operations.
- Manage the procurement and upkeep of fleet software applications on board ships. Ensure that software licenses are current and compliant.
- Monitor/control project progress, managing changes in project scope, schedule, and costs.
- Ensure quality standards are met and oversee the resolution of project-related issues.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience) in information technology, computer science, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of experience developing and implementing major IT systems (preferable Fleet, Shipping system), with at least 3 years in project management or project leadership.
- Experience managing IT operations in a maritime or shipping environment is highly desirable.
- Understanding of web services/API interfaces to various systems
- Experienced in marine industry
