Your Role
An Application Support Engineer is an IT professional who provides technical support regarding a spectrum of software used within a specific business sector. Application Support Engineers are responsible for database management, while others put more emphasis on the programming end of an application.
What Will You Do
- Support Business Manager, Team Lead and sales team in various activities to ensure timely delivery/closure on business critical issues according to customer expectation.
- Level 1 and 2 support on software functionality and IT related issue
- Writing of Software/business Requirements Specifications/ Cases/user manual, test cases and test plan documents
- Perform SIT/QA/UAT testing
- Setup/create test data for users to do UAT
- Service request fulfilment
- Create and maintain support tickets
- Handle application query, issue and service request
- Support with system testing and deployment
- Assist with the goal of meeting performance and usage requirements
- Perform maintenance, troubleshooting, bug fixes and provide solutions
- Monitor the systems to ensure availability to users in a secure and controlled manner
- Conduct system backups, optimization, initiation of recovery procedures
What Do We Want
- Diploma in Computing, Computer Science or Computer Engineering or Equivalent
- At least 2 years software support application
- Ability to write Software/business Requirements Specifications
- Ability to write Use Cases/user manual, test cases and test plan documents
- Ability to investigate issues reported, reproduce issue and determine cause
