Job Summary

You will be part of the team in inventory planning, forecasting, organizing and managing all sourcing and purchasing activities to meet customer’s and organisation’s objectives. You are expected to identify and qualify vendors, conduct vendor research and selection, monitor vendor performance and ensure compliance to service standards. You will also ensure quality of purchased products and compliance with Company’s quality standards.


Job Responsibilities

  • Source, evaluate and negotiate with the objective of securing best value for money package for goods/products/services in terms of quality, price, terms, deliveries and services with suppliers.
  • Identify and develop existing/new suppliers/manufacturers to continuously improve support on cost, delivery or quality of products, including and not limited to on-site inspections of manufacturing sites, local or overseas, as may be required.
  • Work with with different function teams to provide reliable delivery timetables to customers, fine-tune the planning and its daily implementation and participate in problem-solving action plans.
  • Develop strategic sourcing strategies that will support and add-value to the functional areas.
  • Prepare purchase requisitions, approve and issue purchase orders .
  • Coordinate, monitor and ensure suppliers' consistently high quality and on time delivery.
  • Reconcile shipments, short and back orders, and damaged items including and not limited to handling and monitoring of claims to factories/vendors/principals for defective products, shortage and or missing parts.
  • Evaluate shipping terms and liaise with forwarders on services and costs as well as ensuring insurance declaration and other relevant documentation.
  • Provide timely purchase history reports to support Product Management Team and Management in designing and planning product strategies.
  • Plan and manage inventory levels in line with Company's policy and approved capital investment on inventory.
  • Review stock purchase by monitoring market conditions, current stock levels, lead-time required for manufacturing, potential price increase, anticipation of new orders from customers and or supplier conditions.
  • Regularly review processes to streamline, improve throughput and improve performance.
  • Ensure seamless integration with logistics/warehouse and customer service.
  • Determine key supply chain KPIs relevant to efficiency, productivity savings, cost control and other company objectives
