Job descriptions:
- Inspects welded joints and conducts tests to ensure welds meet company standards, national code requirements, and customer job specifications.
- Records inspection and test results and prepares and submits reports to welding engineering personnel.
- Communicate with retained weld engineer on welding issues, and processes when necessary.
- Communicate with customer’s weld engineering department.
- Tracking and maintaining welding procedures and CWB binders.
- Manage welding procedures and ensure welders are qualified and approved for corresponding welding procedures for various jobs
Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a heavy fabrication environment.
- Practical and theoretical proficiency with Carbon Arc-gauging; SMAW, GMAW, and GTAW processes. Experienced in developing process routings for large welded fabrications.
- Familiar with PQR development and testing final WPS implementation.
