Project Engineer

Responsibilities

  • Review pre-tender document and highlight salient points.
  • Study and review contracts and list out all commercial and technical requirements.
  • Identify and communicate project objectives in accordance with the contract terms, scope of work, payment schedule to team members and responsible sales person.
  • Responsible for project management (from order, kick-off meeting to shipment) and prepare time schedule estimates for internal review and approval.
  • Plan, monitor and manage the project schedule to ensure project completion according to schedule.
  • Liaise with drafting team for drawing schedule / fulfillment on a weekly basis.
  • Tabulate weekly report on drawing status and reconcile discrepancies drawing on orders.
  • Involve in TBE/technical clarifications.
  • Interact actively and provide support to customers on all technical fronts, project documentation requirements, maintain close liaison with them for timely approval of drawings and provide periodic updates on projects progress.
  • Responsible for project documentation (completion of forms, MDR, VDR, VBD, scope of supply, ‘as built drawings’, certificate, etc),
  • Maintain all project records and documentation according to in-house quality standards.
  • Keep track of variation order to ensure margins are not eroded.
  • Work closely with the sales, logistics and production to resolve any order, bill of material and drawing issues.
  • Other assignments may be assigned from time-to-time.

Requirements

  • Diploma in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
  • 2 – 5 years’ relevant experience in project work
  • Proficient in project scheduling/management
  • Able to multi-task and work independently in a fast-paced environment
