Junior E&I Engineer

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for electrical drawing design and provide solutions in project offers, executing and handle issue related to E&I engineering.
  • Review engineering specs and drawings such as single line diagram, electrical systems, loop diagrams, sizing of control/distribution panels, and wiring drawings.
  • Ensure design and assembled products adherence to ATEX and NEC standards, compliance to the institutional procedures, working closely with Sales, Project and QA team for project delivery.
  • Translate customer’s engineering/technical specs, contracts on project-oriented business and effectively disseminate information to relevant departments.
  • Component selection and BOM list creation. Ensure and confirmed project order document and extract all materials types, specs, hardwares related to junction boxes and highlight all specific SS 316L, 304 materials requirements.
  • Prepare engineering documents, product specifications, data sheet and test procedures. Create new part numbers in the Navision System.
  • At different stage of project execution, be responsible to communicate and follow through all technical/engineering changes with intra/inter departments.
  • Establish as built diagrams/drawings and advise drafting department to make mandatory update in drawing for customers and ATEX filing/document purposes.
  • Direct and supervise drafting team to produce 2D and 3D drawings in compliance with engineering standards.
  • Identify and quantify any changes of work scope as well as estimate resources, materials required and notify project teams and sales. In case of additional materials or work on variation order to ensure margins are not eroded.
  • Assist production and render support (hands on when necessary) on wiring installation, Factory Acceptance tests and commissioning at site whenever necessary.
  • Communicate (speak to EPCs/key accounts to quickly understand the root of their problem) and response speedily to technical requests and resolve problems both on and off-site and travel to site to render support on a need basis.
  • Contribute and share technical expertise to improve workflow and overall efficiency.
  • Take the lead to highlight or bring to attention of sales, production, QA and supporting staff when spotting signs of early warnings on potential delivery problems.
  • Report to supervisor on areas of significant importance relating to late delivery and LD exposure before problem arises.
  • Engage in Vendor Listing efforts (AVL) on new project pursuit as assigned to support sales/marketing team.

Requirements

  • Degree in Instrumentation / Electrical Engineering or equivalent with sound technical knowledge.
  • Minimum 3 years’ relevant experience in Electrical and Instrumentation environment.
  • Familiar with equipment Hazardous area classification - ATEX, IEC, NEC standards, etc.
  • Team player with good analytical and problem-solving skills.
