Job purpose:
The GS-Ops TCC Specialist Trade Finance is, with due consideration of all internal and regulatory requirements and within the agreed deadlines, responsible for processing of the trade finance business for customers, as well as for providing specialized and process-driven advice within his/her sphere of activity. In so doing, he works closely with FK TF-CM Allrounder Cash/Trade Sales International, FK TF-CM Specialist Cash/Trade Sales International, FK-TF-CM Advisor Trade Services International, FK-TF-CM Assistant Trade Services International and Relationship Managers, and other department stakeholders that deal with corporate customers, whom he supports by providing pertinent information in a team-oriented manner.
Key activities:
Processing of Trade Finance Business
- Depending on each task allocated, the processing covers the carrying out of all trade finance business processes in accordance with the rules, regulations, and compliance-related requirements.
- Advising of customers with due consideration given to their specific needs and the bank’s operational requirements
- Assuming middle office role by performing pre-processing and post-processing tasks for Trade Finance Products/Sub-Processes in accordance with Global/Internal Guideline/Process
- Perform monitoring and reconciliation of transaction(s) processed by processing hub.
- Perform vetting of Direct/Indirect Guarantees/Amendment
- Perform monitoring tasks for all outstanding Guarantee transactions ensuring pending fees are collected timely.
- Ensuring compliance with first line of defense responsibilities
- He may also be required to act as a speaker within the framework of the bank’s qualification measures and events with corporate customers
- Responsibility for warranty of occupational health and safety and health protection for all employees of his/her unit
- The GS-OPS TCC Specialist Trade Finance is authorized to check documents up to a certain level without supervision. he exercises this authority in a responsible manner and in accordance with the regulations
- Supporting the FK-TF-CM Allrounder Cash/Trade Sales International, FK-TF-CM Specialist Cash/Trade Sales International, FK-TF-CM Advisor Trade Service International, FK-TF-CM Assistant Trade Services International, and Relationship Managers in an advisory role
Formal education:
- Degree/Diploma with major in Business, Banking/Finance or Law or Certificate for Documentary Credit Specialists
Specialist knowledge (work experience, further qualification):
- Competency in ICC Uniform Customs and Practice for Documentary Credits 2007 Revision, International Standard banking Practice for the Examination of Documents under UCP 600, ICC Uniform Rules for Demand Guarantee, The Uniform Rules for Collections (URC 522)
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Words, and Excel
- Minimum 5 years Trade Finance experience specialize in Guarantee Handling

- Diploma with major in Business, Banking/Finance or Law
- Unassisted and compliant handling of recurring daily business routines with regular and enhanced complexity in accordance with internal and external regulations and within the agreed deadlines
- Advising of customers with due consideration given to their specific needs and the bank’s operational requirements for cases with regular and enhanced complexity
- Coordination and prioritization of the daily workflow for the team members
- Participation in global projects and management of local projects in the area of responsibility (e.g. IT adjustments)
- Advanced knowledge of the pertinent rules published by the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) with regards to trade finance business
CB 03
- Degree with major in Business, Banking/Finance or Law
- Approval and oversight of the processing of the daily workflow for the team members
- Independent judgment and decision making with limited guidance and supervision
- Providing guidance regarding the handling of documentary and guarantee business with high complexity
- Interface to global functional lead / product management and support functions (e.g. Compliance)
- Support of the FK-TF-CM TL Documentary & Guarantee Business International and professional representation of the FK-TF-CM TL Documentary & Guarantee Business International in case of his/her absence
- Participation in global projects and managemen of local projects in the area of responsibility (e.g. IT adjustments)
- Extensive, in-depth knowledge of the pertinent rules published by the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) with regards to trade finance business
- Involvement in the creation and maintenance of local procedures and desktop procedures
- Participation in local industry working groups (e.g. BAFT)
- Building and maintaining of an informal internal and external network – also beyond own area of expertise – to achieve high-quality result
- Coaching of junior level staff with respect to all aspects of trade finance business
