Job Overview:
We are seeking a full-time Marketing & Media Relations Executive to join our team. This is a vital position in the company, and the ideal candidate should have some experience in marketing, communications and/or media relations, preferably in the arts and culture sector, as well as a strong appreciation of contemporary dance and the performing arts. As a Marketing & Media Relations Executive, you will report to the Communications Manager and be responsible for ideating and implementing marketing and media strategies that promote our activities, grow our audience, and support our mission to build deeper human connections through dance.
The starting salary is in the range of SGD2,700 to SGD3,100 per month, commensurate with experience.
Career Advancement Opportunity
With our current Communications Manager transitioning out in the third quarter of 2024, the successful Marketing & Media Relations Executive will be presented with the prospect of moving into a managerial position by the end of the year. Upon promotion, the salary will be adjusted to a range of SGD3,200 to SGD4,100 per month.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the Communications Manager to develop, manage, implement and measure marketing and media strategies that engage target audiences, strengthen the company’s relationships with key stakeholders, result in timely and meaningful media coverage for the company, and align with the company’s values, goals, and mission.
- Create and distribute digital and physical marketing materials that comprise impactful and engaging written and visual content and effectively promote our activities and communicate our unique artistic vision. This includes in-house content creation and graphic design, as well as working with external copywriters and graphic designers to create and distribute content.
- Maintain the company’s archival of marketing and media materials, including photos, videos, press clippings and media quotes, for ease of retrieval and usage.
- Collaborate with colleagues in the company to ensure that marketing and media efforts are aligned with our artistic vision and goals, and that our initiatives are consistent with the company’s branding and identity.
Requirements:
- Excellent language and communication skills, both written and oral, with strong attention to detail.
- Substantial knowledge of marketing and media best practices, including content creation, audience engagement, campaign planning, writing newsworthy press releases, organising interviews and cultivating relationships with journalists, editors and other influencers.
- Proficiency in managing, creating and distributing engaging content for a number of different online and offline channels, including but not limited to social media platforms such as Facebook and Instagram.
- Proficiency in graphic design and video editing software (Photoshop/Illustrator or similar, Premiere Pro or similar, InDesign or similar) to create professional, appealing visual content.
- Strong networking and relationship-building skills, with the ability to communicate effectively and establish rapport with our vendors, the media, as well as our audiences and stakeholders.
- Strong strategic thinking skills, with the ability to analyse data and make data-driven decisions.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a small team environment.
- Familiarity with Singapore’s arts and cultural scene, a keen interest in staying up-to-date with trends, methods and technology, and an appreciation of contemporary dance.
Working Conditions:
This is a full-time position. The company’s general working hours are 10:00AM—7:00PM from Mondays to Fridays. However, during periods when the company has productions or other programmes, you may be required to adjust your work hours to work evenings and/or weekends.
