As a senior business consultant, support Chief Regional Officer (CRO) of Mitsubishi Heavy Industries (MHI) group and Managing Director of Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Asia Pacific (MHI-AP) for company managements and regional strategies.
Supervise MHI Group risk management in the Asia Pacific region and provide expert knowledge and solutions for the development and implementation of emergency evacuation plans and business continuity plans.
Promote ESG management in the Asia Pacific region for the long-term growth of MHI Group, and provide expert knowledge and solutions for the development of a sustainable society.
Regional strategy
Provide supports for regional strategy for the Asia Pacific region coordinating initiatives among group companies in the region in collaboration with the country representative.
Risk management
Supervise MHI Group risk management activities and provide expert knowledge and solutions for the development of emergency evacuation plans and business continuity plans.
Conduct and implement evacuation plans in the event of contingencies such as natural disasters, pandemics and conflicts
ESG activity
Lead the development of ESG management policy for the Asia Pacific region, consistent with MHI Group Sustainability Management Policy.
QEHS activity
Presides over QEHS Committee and leads the QEHS activities of MHI-AP.
Requirements
· Bachelor degrees related to business, such as management, economics and law.
· Minimum 15-year experience on:
(i) developing business strategies;
(ii) leading risk management activity;
(iii) managing department in multi-national company in manufacturing or engineering industry.
· Open-mindedness towards different cultures (to interact with parties from various backgrounds as a contact person at the regional headquarters)
· Good communication skills
· Good interpersonal skills and oral and written capabilities, including the ability to build professional relationships with government and other outside organization.
· Extensive understanding and multi-year experience on corporate practices and culture in MHI Group
· Excellent Japanese Language skills (JLPT N1 or equivalent level) in both business writings & speaking in order to coordinate & communicate precise information with Japanese stakeholders in the APAC region / counterparts in Japan HQ.
