- Work closely with a number of sites in Asia Pacific region, maintaining consistent and strong performance across sites, whilst driving best practice and excellence.
- Maintain an overview of site performance, ensuring accurate forecasting and efficient production.
- Identify and recommend opportunities for continuous improvement to processes, methods and new technology.
- Support local plant managers in the day to day running of their manufacturing plants and drive positive outcomes relating to production targets, yields at lowest COGS.
- Gear plants to meet quality/CSR requirements of certification bodies and customer audits, follow through with audit findings to attain certification/re-certification and achieve successful closure.
- Regular collation of management information to support decision making.
Requirements:
- Degree in Mechanical/Electronic/Manufacturing Engineering.
- Proven experience of 8 to 10 years as an operational leader comfortable working, engaging and delivering in a fast-paced high volume manufacturing environment.
- In-depth knowledge of manufacturing processes, quality control principles, manufacturing costing, workforce allocation.
- Experience with lean manufacturing principles, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies is a plus and ISO qualifications will be well regarded.
- Strong leadership and people management skills with the ability to motivate and guide a diverse team.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities with a track record of process optimization and efficiency improvements.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills to work across departments.
- Critical thinking skills and the ability to translate high-level goals into actionable plans.
- Able to speak, read and write Mandarin fluently to liaise with our internal stakeholders.
- Willing and able to travel at short notice up to 60% a month.
