Job Description
We are looking for a Director to work alongside Global Markets Division for Asia (“AGMD”) – Japanese Client Solutions Desk (“AGMD-JCSD”) team members to enhance the FX and Derivatives business for Japanese clients with Singapore office.
Job Responsibilities:
- Develop and lead the department’s business plan of identifying new revenue opportunities, building customer and revenue business to align to the Bank's direction/vision.
- Understand the competitive landscape, review department’s performance and identify opportunities for growth as well as risks.
- Monitor and advise on the impacts of economic and regulatory changes.
- Build effective relationship with customers to develop revenue opportunities and to deliver a high quality of service.
- Lead the development of competitive products to ensure MUFG are capable of securing new business opportunities within the region.
- Develop and maintain strong stakeholder management with key stakeholders both within MUFG and externally.
- Work in partnership with colleagues across all regions to share best practice, deliver an integrated regional service for our customers, develop new business and create effective processes.
- Work in partnership with Compliance to assess new Global Markets products and seek advice on the impact to Bank’s policies and regulatory requirements, as well as to provide input into cross border matrix to mitigate compliance risks.
Job Requirements:
- Minimum degree qualified
- Minimum 15 years of banking industry experience
- Minimum 10 years of experience in Sales on Derivatives and FX Products
- Proficient in spoken and written Japanese will be required to collaborate with Japanese-speaking markets and communicate effectively with clients. Japanese is the working language.
- Good managerial or leadership skill.
- Significant relevant industry experience and knowledge of competitor landscape, covering Interest Rate Derivatives.
- Excellent communication skills with ability to influence others and sell products.
- In depth knowledge in products including but not limited to FX and Derivatives.
- Strong understanding in local regulations to mitigate risk for the Bank.
- A proactive, motivated person.
