What you will do:
- Assists Head Chef in smooth running of kitchen operations efficiently
- Responsible for ordering of supplies and cost control management including food costs and wastages
- Participate actively in quality initiatives such as daily chef briefings and monthly team meetings in order to constantly improve the culinary operation, meet targets and keep communication flowing
- Responsible for maximizing productivity, ensuring that dishes are being served on an efficient schedule to boost overall profitability without compromising on quality
- Train and assist new kitchen staff ensuring consistency in work performance
- Ensure daily housekeeping and maintain proper hygiene practices in all kitchen operations
