Responsibilities:
- Early involvement with Business Development and Toolroom team on Early Product Review
- Review if current process capability meets new product requirement.
- Ensure that leadtime required for gear up process capability is known and agreed upon by Business Development and Customer.
- Tool design review for manufacturability and potential changes.
- Feedback and document requirement that is not achievable and propose new criteria to both BD and customer for acceptance.
- Participate in DFM of new project development.
- Perform Tool buy-off testing and ensure that tool conform to targeted yield, cycle time and quality for smooth mass production run as well as tool function reliability.
- Define process to achieve optimal cycle time, yield and quality for all new products assigned.
- Provide support for manufacturing/molding site to ensure FIM process meets requirement of quality level.
- Ensure smooth transfer of new product to Site PE via tool transfer, setup and troubleshooting to manufacturing site.
- Any other duties as and when assigned
- Take reasonable care of workplace health and safety; abide by all EHS policies and procedures; cooperate with Management and colleagues in EHS initiatives
Requirements:
- Diploma/ Degree in Mechanical/Electronic Engineering
- Min 5 years of relevant experience
- Knowledge and hands on experience in Engineering & Production process automation
- Knowledge in IATF16949 awareness is an added advantage
