RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for the accuracy and completeness of the Companys general ledger.
- Handle analytical review of financial statements and preparation of year end statutory accounts, preparing and maintaining audit schedules.
- Liaising with the Companys external auditors.
- Prepare and monitor funding position of assigned vessels and / or companies.
- Participate in the monthly review and financial closing process.
- Handle tax compliance submission, prepare journal entries and maintain accounting schedules as required.
- Maintain fixed assets information in a timely and accurate manner.
- Perform revaluation and allocation function in financial system as appropriate.
- Perform intercompany, loan, derivative and bank-related ledger entries.
- Prepare ad-hoc financial information on request. (e.g. Singapore Department of Statistics surveys)
- Participate in enhancing departmental procedures through continuous improvement initiatives.
- Assisting accounting manager in other ad hoc assignments.
- Degree in Accountancy or equivalent professional qualification.
- Possess a minimum of 2 years relevant work experience in general ledger accounting or managing full set of accounts.
- Prior experience in Big 4 accounting firm preferred.
- Strong computer skills and experience in computerized accounting/ERP systems. (e.g. Oracle EBS/Microsoft Navision) an advantage.
- Comfortable to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Organized, meticulous with a keen eye for detail.
