The Role
The Healthcare Assistant will provide support and assistance to the Nursing staff in providing the residents with basic hygiene and personal care daily, attending to their needs and notifying attending nurses of any changes in the physical or emotional state of residents.
Responsibilities
▪ Carry out duties / procedures as assigned by senior nurses.
▪ Assist in serving meals / drinks and in feeding the residents. Report abnormal feeding.
▪ Assist in the activities of daily living (ADL) of residents. Report Abnormalities.
▪ Assist in the hygiene care of residents such as, toileting, showering, grooming, etc.
▪ Assist in transfers and mobilizing of ADL activities.
▪ Perform general housekeeping to maintain cleanliness of the wards, bed, lockers.
▪ Assist in conducting daily exercises for the residents and interactive activities for Dementia care.
▪ Assist in organizing visits for residents to go for medical checkups; arrange transport and accompany residents.
▪ Alerts nurses to emergency situations where necessary take first responder actions to mitigate care.
Qualifications
▪ ITE Skills Certificate in Healthcare
▪ WSQ Higher Certificate in Healthcare (Nursing Care) advantageous
▪ Some Knowledge in healthcare setting
▪ Minimum 1 year of experience in looking after elderly.
▪ Good communication skills
▪ Pleasant disposition
▪ Singaporeans only
▪ Candidates without experience may apply. Training will be provided to such candidates.
▪ Able to read and understand simple English.
Others
· 6 days a week ( 0700-1530hrs & 1300 – 2130 hrs) & Able to perform 2 rotating shifts, including weekends and public holidays. Off in lieu will be rostered.

Salary range : $1800 neg
