Job Relationship : Reports to CEO


A. Job Summary

You will be responsible for the following key functions within CAL:

  • Outreach & Partnerships with hospitals and other assigned organisations to seek out caregivers who need training and support from CAL
  • Caregiver Equipping through delivering CAL’s core C2C programmes, modular programmes and workshops/talks
  • Caregiver Engagement and Emotional Support through programmes such as ITS, C4C and E2E
  • Programme Effectiveness Evaluation
  • Curriculum Review covering improvement of content, training delivery & approaches
  • Design and Development of New Programme & Services
  • Train the Trainer
  • Customised Modular Training & Talks


B. Job Responsibilities

1) Strategy

  • Support the CEO and work closely with other key leaders and managers to achieve the vision, mission and strategy for the organisation
  • Ensure strategies are effectively executed, reviewed and adapted to meet the desired outcomes and strategic directions set by the Board.
  • Support the CEO to manage and implement changes and build the desired organization culture in alignment with CAL’s strategic direction & champion interdepartmental collaboration and cooperation


2) Leadership & Management

  • Contribute as a key member of CAL leadership and senior management team on company-wide matters including strategic planning, risk and governance, board engagement and updates and performance review at annual performance roundtable
  • Lead and support collaborative cross functional projects in support of CAL’s growth, reinforce and focus staff on the behaviour commitment and raise organization capability and capacity
  • Provide leadership and manage members of the Ops and Programme department in programme & service design, delivery and effectiveness review to ensure high quality outcomes and impact on the beneficiaries
  • Provide oversight, direction and guidance to mobilise and optimise resources in the execution of CAL’s key programmes and services and including future new programmes/services as directed by the CEO.

o C2C-PMHI: Caregivers to Caregivers Programme for Caregivers of Persons with Mental Health Issues

o C2C-Dementia: Caregivers to Caregivers Programme for Caregivers of Persons with Dementia

o C2C-YCG: Caregivers to Caregivers Programme for Young Caregivers

o Caregivers For Caregivers Programme (C4C)

o Trauma Informed Care

o ITS: Individual Training and Support to provide 1-1 emotional support and info referral and customised C2C content

  • Streamline & standardize processes and practices and raise cooperation amongst the different teams.
  • Ensure clear documentation of the department’s policies and processes
  • Establish and enhance standard operating procedures for key aspects of the organisation’s operations and programmes and ensure adherence to such SOPs
  • Drive efficient & effective database management and update to support and enhance key ops processes e.g. Outreach, KIV list, CRM upkeep, KPI accountability and reporting,
  • Support the CEO in monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness of the organisation’s programmes through timely and well considered reports and updates.
  • Support the CEO with updates to the board on programmes, services and related projects
  • Ensure regular and timely review of curriculum, content and training pedagogies for core programmes
  • Identify caregiver needs and think out of the box to find solutions and create and develop new offerings to close/bridge the gaps
  • Contribute to identifying and monitoring risks for the organization and implement measures to mitigate such risks

3) People Management and Development

  • Hold members of the department accountable, set clear expectation and targets to achieve high performance results, monitor progress and help remove barriers to support their success and deliver the desired KPIs, corporate priorities and outcomes
  • Ensure proper staff orientation, learning and support to raise their competencies and engender greater commitment towards CAL gapor248373
  • Take ownership, be hands on and involved in building a collaborative culture and contribute to establishing a positive, healthy and safe work environment for all staff and volunteers
  • Manage conflict and drive positive and collegial behaviour to support bonding and building of relationship amongst staff and work towards transforming the workplace into a great place to work
  • Support talent identification and development to raise new leaders for the organisation

4) Partnership

  • Engage other organizations such as other Social Service Agencies, the authorities (i.e., MCCY, MOH, MSF), hospitals, to further the goals and objectives of the organisation
  • Lead new partnership acquisition, build trusted relationships with partners and explore opportunities for outreach events, collaboration, mutual support and pursuit of shared objectives.
  • Direct outreach and partnership with hospitals to seek out more caregivers and increase signups for C2C

5) Communications, Public Relations, Research and Advocacy

  • Represent CAL by participating in direct communications and public relations efforts on various publicity platforms and media and partnership events to raise awareness about CAL.
  • Support corporate comms efforts in events and publications to increase public awareness of caregiving and mental health and reduce mental stigma
  • Initiate and lead research efforts to contribute towards more evidence-based evaluation of programmes and services
  • Advocate for improvements in policies and legislation

C. Job Requirements

  • At least 15 years of experience in progressively higher management and leadership roles
  • Strong cognitive ability - learn quickly, process information accurately and effective in managing complexity
  • Track record in driving growth, innovation, and inspiring teams for success
  • Successful experiences in strategy formulation and execution, ops & project management and driving organisation growth
  • Strong relationship management and relationship building skills to engage effectively with staff as well as beneficiaries, partners and volunteers.
  • Excellent leadership, planning, negotiation and communication skills
  • Demonstrated change agility, persistence and resilience
  • Strong operation sense and able to respond expeditiously and appropriately
