Responsibilities:
- Manage the successful delivery of digital capabilities and solutions by providing strong leadership and guidance to the vendor development team, to ensure design thinking for the future roadmap
- Provide proactive technical consulting to business and work with technical managers and partners to develop new solutions to support Income strategic initiatives
- Evaluate new technologies and identify the benefit case for using new technologies by staying in touch with industry trends as well as have strong opinions about how digital can impact our business
- Review work of the development team and identify opportunities for improvement in user experience, development processes, standards, governance and ensuring best practices are applied
- Implement agile development as part of upskilling existing application development competency through related applications development so as to drive towards a more efficient and zero error rate in development
Qualifications/requirements:
- Bachelor Degree holder in Information Technology, Info Systems or equivalent.
- At least 5 years of full-stack Java application development experience
- Experience in using modern web & mobile technologies, languages, open-source, frameworks e.g. front-end coding skills, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, JQuery, Bootstrap & AngularJS
- Proficient in handling complex technical development concepts, latest software tools and technologies, strong database concepts and designing techniques
- Able to conceptualize and understand product development to meet business needs
- Experience in non-functional areas like performance, scalability, human interaction & software ergonomics
- Excellent in working effectively in a multi-tasking environment, ability to prioritize competing tasks
- Successful track records of leading technical projects
- Clear communicator with excellent oral and written skills and experience interacting with both business and IT individuals at all levels including the executive level
- Possess the personal attributes: integrity, trust and credibility, hungry for results and show perseverance. A good listener, customer oriented, strong interpersonal skills
- Creative thinking skills with deep technological expertise, business acumen and software development background
