About the Role:
As a Senior Platform Engineer, you will play a crucial role in leading platform development efforts within our organization. Your responsibilities include owning and ensuring the delivery of Core Systems Platform solutions, adhering to internal architecture roadmaps, and maintaining compliance with information security policies. Key Responsibilities:
- Take full responsibility and accountability for platform delivery and development cycles.
- Ensure overall platform delivery quality and production stability.
- Lead and guide the development team in adhering to internal development guidelines and solution alignments.
- Define business requirements at the project level and manage project stakeholders.
- Drive the team (onshore/offshore) to meet project timelines and deliver high-quality code.
- Provide technical support to internal teams and stakeholders, including management.
- Collaborate with operation and incident teams for troubleshooting and root cause analysis.
- Oversee code reviews and maintain all delivery artifacts.
- Conduct cross-domain solution reviews and delivery activities in collaboration with internal peers.
- Exhibit professionalism and serve as a team player model.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in IT/Computer Science or equivalent.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in system development and solution design.
- Ability to lead a small development team and coach junior staff.
- Hands-on experience with Linux, cloud, and container platform environments.
- Proficiency in Linux, Java core, and scripting, in VM and Container Platform environments.
- Strong skills in Oracle SQL, MySQL, and Postgres, with the ability to construct structured SQL queries.
- Knowledge of CI/CD flows and scanning tools (e.g., SonarQube or similar).
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive attitude.
- Good understanding of infrastructure design, internet protocols, and IP networks.
- Knowledge of Information Security on application, OS, and network levels.
- Hands-on experience in Java core programming and Java stacks (e.g., Jboss, Tomcat, Spring Boot).
- Experience with automated testing tools (e.g., Selenium or similar).
- Telecom experience is preferred, including knowledge of Mobile & Broadband services.
- Deep knowledge of the OSI model is preferred.
- Excellent understanding of system integration and APIs (TMF standard APIs).
- Knowledge of CSS, BSS & OSS standards and operations is a plus.
- Familiarity with Amdocs Ordering modules (OMS, CRM, MEC) and Netcracker OSS modules is a plus.
- Strong project delivery focus with attention to detail.
