Business Need / Purpose of Role:

The Project Engineer will be responsible for overseeing the technical aspects of offshore oil and gas projects, ensuring adherence to industry standards, safety protocols, and project specifications. This role will involve collaboration with multidisciplinary teams, including design, procurement, construction, and operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Planning & Execution: Develop project plans, schedules, and budgets in alignment with project objectives. Monitor project progress and ensure timely completion within budgetary constraints.
  • Technical Oversight: Provide technical expertise and guidance on offshore engineering design, equipment selection, installation, and commissioning activities. Review and approve engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documentation.
  • Risk Management: Identify potential risks associated with project execution and develop mitigation strategies. Conduct regular risk assessments and implement preventive measures to ensure project safety and compliance.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Liaise with internal teams, subcontractors, vendors, and clients to facilitate effective communication and coordination throughout the project lifecycle. Address technical queries and resolve engineering-related issues promptly.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and company policies. Implement quality control measures and conduct regular inspections to maintain high-quality project deliverables.
  • Budget & Cost Control: Monitor project expenditures, track financial performance, and identify cost-saving opportunities. Prepare regular budget reports and provide recommendations for optimizing resource allocation.
  • Health, Safety & Environment (HSE): Promote a culture of safety and environmental stewardship. Implement HSE policies and procedures, conduct safety audits, and ensure adherence to best practices in offshore operations.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Civil, or Petroleum) or related field; Master’s degree or relevant certifications preferred.
  • Minimum of 4 of experience in offshore oil and gas projects, with a proven track record of successful project delivery.
  • Proficient knowledge of offshore engineering principles, equipment, and technologies.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal abilities.
  • Familiarity with industry standards, regulations, and best practices.
