RESPONSIBILITIES
- Grant Administration
- Assist in the submission of new grant proposals;
- MOE budgets and cash flow projections.
- Coordinate the submission and review of the annual budgets.
- Manage the inception of projects and ensure closure of projects in a timely manner.
- Work with grant administrators to ensure that claim submissions are accurate and submitted promptly.
- Track and monitor the utilisation of grants and highlight projects that under-utilised budgets.
- Assist grant administrators on their queries (including troubleshooting of system issues).
- Liaise with grantors (including MOE) on matters related to grants.
- Assist in performing UAT on system enhancements.
- Any other task relating to grant administration
- Grant Reporting
- Prepare necessary journals for month-end closing;
- audit schedules for internal reporting.
- Analyse the projects expenditure against budget and explain the variance (if any) for internal and external stakeholders.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly and ad-hoc reports for internal reporting;
- bi-yearly and annual claims for MOE reporting purposes;
- quarterly reports on utilisation of grants for MOE.
- Assist in the submission of claims in grantor-specific portals (e.g. IGMS, [email protected], etc).
- Generate reports for MOE and other external funders.
- Support project certification and audits (including liaising with auditors and coordinating the audit).
- Any other task relating to grant reporting.
- Governance
- Ensure administration of grants complied with terms and conditions of the grant agreements.
- Reconcile claim statement to accounting records
- Degree in Accountancy, Business or a related discipline with at least 5 to 8 years of relevant experience.
- Self-motivated with ability to work independently.
- Fast worker with ability to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both oral and written skills are essential).
- Able to work well with people at different levels of the organisation.
- Committed, meticulous, organised and resourceful with positive work attitude.
- Good Microsoft Office application skills.
- Knowledge and hands-on experience in SAP and/or any of the major accounting software will be an advantage.
- Familiar with BI tools (e.g. Qlik sense, Power BI, Tableau) will be an added advantage.
