Key Responsibilities
General
· Reporting to the Singapore Rowing Association (SRA) Executive Committee, the FAM will be responsible for the management of the organisation’s financials, and day to day running of SRA operations
Key Objectives
a. Admin
· To ensure smooth and efficient secretariat office operations
· Maintain communication with stakeholders, including government bodies, sport bodies and members.
· Set up and monitor the effectiveness of communication channels to ensure that the Executive Committee (Exco), sub-committees, staff and members are kept informed of activities.
· Work with the SRA Executive Committee to Develop and implement sound governance policies and procedures
· Apply for, and maintain, IPC charitable status to ensure any donations can qualify for tax relief
· Provide support for all Exco activities.
· Ensure Exco members receive relevant documents.
· Keep Exco members regularly informed of SRA activities.
b. Finance
· Responsible for the day-to-day accounting functions including payment and issue of invoices.
· Implementation of efficient account system and processes.
· Oversee the overall budget and annual sports grant for SRA.
· Ensure that individual budgets for each programme are submitted and coordinated.
· Prepare quarterly financial reporting pack including actual v budget reports to present to Exco.
· Liaise with external auditors and prepare the annual report including notes.
· Maintain bank signatories and access to online banking.
· Monitor and ensure finance processes are followed, request detailed budgets from the Committee Chairpersons before activities are carried out and ensure that a detailed list of the expenditure accompanied by receipts is submitted.
· Provide leadership in the allocation use and maintenance of the assets of the SRA.
· Maintain an up to date inventory of the assets and liabilities of the SRA.
· Monitoring and coordinating day to day maintenance of facilties and equipment, and any necessary repairs
· Ensure renewal of various licences and insurances.
c. Relations with counterparties
· Act as one of the key point of contact (under delegated authority of the President) with other government agencies including SSG, SNOC, PUB, LTA, SLA and other relevant agencies.
· Prepare the Annual grant submissions, including, but not limited to One Time Singapore Fund grants.
· Ensure that all operations and procedures conform to the prevailing regulations, policies and guidelines issued by the Sport SG.
· To submit ongoing reports to Sport SG on progress made in the specified areas of responsibilities and other reports required from Sports SG.
Part time based on 20 hours per week.
