We are looking for highly motivated individuals to work in the Port Health Section of the Environmental Public Health Operations Group.
What you will be working on:
Key duties vary depending on the specific area of work assigned, and generally include:
- Carry out inspections on sanitation standards onboard ships
- Communicate with ship captains/agents and grant port health clearance for arriving/ departing ships
- Issue Ship Sanitation Certificates
- Issue Coffin permits/Landing permits/ Pratiques after verification of relevant documents
What we are looking for:
- 3 years of working experience in related fields of sanitation, vector control, ship inspection or maritime industry would be an advantage
- Must be computer literate with knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Mature, independent and resourceful personality
- Good interpersonal communication skills
- Physically fit and able to withstand harsh weather conditions
- Comfortable working around water bodies and climbing heights
- Able to perform duties on weekends and public holidays
