Our client is an European-based manufacturer with more than 100 years of successful company history. Its technical solutions and applications serve across various industries such as automotive, electronics sector (e.g. smartphones, tablets), building supply and pharmaceuticals. They are looking for a dynamic and experienced FP&A Manager to join their regional APAC office in Singapore.
The Role
This is a newly created role in view of the growth of 2 business units (BU) and requiring an in-depth support as a business partner to the business leaders. Reporting to Regional FP&A Director, you shall be responsible for all aspects of Business Controlling support for the automotive and electronics BU in Asia Pacific; Ensure reporting and analysis requirements in terms of accuracy, quality and consistency is met in the most efficient manner. Proactively drives processes and supports the various business stakeholders to make well-informed commercial decisions and achieve business objectives.
- Work with in-country's finance team as well as respective functional/ business teams to meet reporting requirements.
- In-charge of all Business Controlling reporting for the 2 BUs in the region, including but not limited to profitability by markets, sales reporting, margin variance analysis, sales pipeline assessments etc.
- Work collaboratively to provide insights on business performance, identify trends and perform sensitivity/ impact analysis.
- Develop and ensure that the business controlling activities are being performed in a systematic and efficient manner and that the business tools available are being utilized in the most optimal manner.
- Support and ensure base decisions on financial as well as other relevant data/KPIs are transparent, accurate and show the appropriate level of detail.
- Support the steering of sales activities with focus on profitable growth using tools as “CRM”, “profit per market” and “profit per customer”.
- Work with business leaders as well as regional/ cross functional teams for respective BU strategy development and execution and to map out key plans, understand upcoming market outlook and underlying business assumptions for financial projections.
- Key coordinator for BUs for financial mid-term planning, annual budgeting and regular forecasting processes, consolidation, and reporting requirements.
- Perform consolidation, analysis, review and understand the variances as required, and highlight anomalies timely for rectification actions.
- Provide financial analysis and controlling support for Projects / initiatives as a supporting member as and when required.
Your Profile
- A well-recognized degree in accountancy/finance/buinsess with professional qualification such as Certified Public Accountant / Chartered Accountant, or equivalent.
- At least 10 years (full time) relevant experience in FP&A and business partnering role including 2-3 years of regional experience in a progressive MNC.
- SAP knowledge (preferably with CO module exposure).
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Application, particularly MS Excel and PowerPoint.
- Strong analytical ability.
- Possess critical thinking, problem solving and decision-making skills.
- Exhibit commercial and business acumen.
- Possess good level of critical thinking and exhibit the ability to cut through complexity to identify key issue(s) to tackle.
- Hands on, willing to deal with details and is meticulous.
- Resourceful and work independently; ability to work in matrix structure.
- Ability to work with tight timelines and challenges.
- Communication, interpersonal skills and be a strong business partner for internal stakeholders.
