Key Responsibilities:
EPC, Commissioning and Start-Up Phase
· Assist to set up of a new laboratory with commissioning, procedure and method development.
· Operate and maintain laboratory instruments and equipment, including chromatographs, spectrophotometers, balances, and other analytical instruments during start-up and commissioning phase.
· Assist in setting up safe work procedure for QC laboratory during start-up and commissioning phase.
· Assist in the development and validation of new analytical methods or modification of existing methods to improve efficiency and accuracy.
· Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures, maintaining a clean and safe working environment.
· Assist in the inventory management of laboratory supplies, chemicals, and reagents, ensuring an adequate supply for ongoing operations
Operation Phase
· Perform routine and non-routine analysis of raw materials, intermediates, and finished products using Rubber, Solid, Slurry, and Gas Chromatography techniques to ensure adherence to quality specifications.
· Operate and maintain laboratory instruments and equipment, including chromatographs, spectrophotometers, balances, and other analytical instruments.
· Prepare samples for analysis by following established protocols, including sample extraction, dilution, filtration, and other sample preparation techniques.
· Record and interpret test results accurately, maintaining detailed and organized documentation of laboratory activities and data.
· Assist in the development and validation of new analytical methods or modification of existing methods to improve efficiency and accuracy.
· Follow established quality control procedures to ensure the reliability and accuracy of laboratory results, including proficiency testing and equipment calibration.
· Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures, maintaining a clean and safe working environment. Comply with regulatory requirements and standard operating procedures.
· Perform routine maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting of laboratory instruments, ensuring their proper functioning and accuracy.
· Assist in the inventory management of laboratory supplies, chemicals, and reagents, ensuring an adequate supply for ongoing operations.
· Actively participate in continuous improvement initiatives, suggesting and implementing process improvements and efficiency enhancements.
Key Requirements:
· Diploma in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
· 5-10 years of experience working in a chemical plant laboratory, preferably in the manufacturing industry, with hands-on experience in Rubber, Solid, Slurry, and Gas Chromatography analytical techniques.
· Proficient in operating and troubleshooting laboratory instruments, particularly chromatography systems. Familiarity with other analytical techniques, such as spectroscopy and wet chemistry, is advantageous.
· Safety Consciousness: Strong commitment to laboratory safety, including knowledge of safety procedures, regulations, and personal protective equipment.
