Job Description
Job Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will be responsible for the enhancement of the operations function, including but not limited to improvement of operations quality (Accuracy, Stability and Productivity) of Asian Units except for Mainland China and Japan. The candidate will be responsible for building a competitive operations framework in Asian region including KPI set up and tracking, and strengthen governance on operations structure across over Asian region, specifically expense budget control, resource management. Candidate is expected to contribute to MUFG business by collaborating with local branches, other divisions in Headquarters in Tokyo, regional headquarters in Asian region and also external stakeholders.
Strategic
- Lead the development of the Division’s business strategy.
Customer
- Develop and maintain strong relationship with key stakeholders both within MUFG and externally.
- Work in partnership with colleagues from other departments and divisions in the development and implementation of effective and efficient operations framework.
Other/ Control
- Planning, implementing, promoting, and monitoring the operations projects and initiatives that enhance the operations quality (accuracy, stability and productivity) and ensure alignment with all relevant regulations.
- Implementing and promoting controls that mitigate the Bank’s operations risk.
- Develop recommendations for improvement and streamlining of existing work procedures/processes.
- Maintain good working knowledge of industry trends, products, relevant laws and regulations
- Adhere to all company policies as well as guidelines.
Job Requirements:
- Minimum 7 years of experience in Banking Operations and products such as Deposit, Remittance, Trade Finance, Loans and Treasury back office.
- Minimum JLPT N1 Certification, degree in Japanese university or equivalent is required to communicate and initiate the discussion with native Japanese speakers using technical terms in operations and system of banking business
- Experience in product office or client management department.
- Strong stakeholder management skills to collaborate effectively
- Good communication skills with ability to influence others and promote & drive initiatives
- Strong project management skills, to monitor and manage multiple regional projects on time and within budget.
- Good understanding of local relevant regulations
- Good analytical skills to interpret data sets
- Good organisation skills with attention to detail
- Strong PC skills (MS Office)
