Key Responsibilities:
- Geometric Modelling
- Geophysical Fluid Dynamics
- Structure Preserving Numerical Methods.
- Theoretical development in the area of modelling for geophysical fluid dynamics
- Numerical implementation of derived models
- Analysis and discussion of the results
- Writing of scientific articles
- Interaction with the members of the research group and researchers in Geoscience
- Presentation of the results
Job Requirements:
- Master in Mathematics
- Basic knowledge in Geophysical Fluid Dynamics
- Solid knowledge of tools from Differential Geometry (Manifolds and Tensor Analysis, Lie Groups, Geometric Structures)
- Solid knowledge of techniques from Structure Preserving Numerical Discretization of ODEs and PDEs
- Solid knowledge of programming languages such as Matlab, Python, Fortran, FEniCS, Firedrake.
