Responsibilities
- Assume a pivotal role in the design and implementation of the next phase of autonomous mobile robots. Leverage expertise in ROS, robot navigation, and perception, along with proficient programming in C++/Python. Emphasize innovation while upholding the highest standards of reliability and robustness throughout the development lifecycle.
- Collaborate closely with diverse teams, including mechatronics, electrical, and software engineers, to seamlessly integrate new robot platforms or enhance existing ones within Smart+ app. Ensure optimal performance and reliability.
- Integrate embedded systems into robotic platforms, utilizing protocols like serial, CAN bus, or Modbus for seamless communication between embedded ATmega microcontrollers, sensors/actuators, and the primary robotic system.
- Provide expert support for remote robot deployments at customer sites globally.
- Document the design, development, and deployment processes for future reference and knowledge sharing within the team. Capture insights gained from projects in documentation and present them in regular team sessions.
Requirements
- Education – Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering with a focus on robotics, mechatronics, or related fields.
- Experience – Preferred 1 or more years of experience, fresh grads are welcome.
- Industry – Previous experience/internship in a robotics company is required.
- Computing – Robotic automation/C++/Python, Linux, git, ROS.
