Job Requirement:
- Develop, implement, and monitor comprehensive environmental, health, and safety (EHS) programs in accordance with regulatory requirements.
- Conduct regular workplace inspections and risk assessments to identify and mitigate potential hazards, ensuring a safe working environment.
- Provide EHS training sessions to employees, promoting awareness and adherence to safety protocols and procedures.
- Maintain and update documentation, including safety manuals, emergency response plans, and risk assessments.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure EHS considerations are integrated into various processes and projects.
- Investigate incidents, accidents, and near misses, and develop corrective action plans to prevent future occurrences.
- Stay informed about changes in EHS regulations and industry best practices to ensure compliance and continuous improvement.
- Monitor and analyze data related to environmental impact, occupational health, and safety performance, and prepare relevant reports.
- Engage with regulatory authorities and external auditors to facilitate inspections and audits, ensuring compliance with legal requirements.
- Champion a safety culture by fostering open communication, conducting safety meetings, and encouraging employee involvement in EHS initiatives.
Qualifications
- Diploma or Degree in Chemical Engineering or any Engineering discipline
- Minimum 2 years relevant working experience in manufacturing and/or chemical industry as a Safety Coordinator or Engineer.
- Possess an Advanced Certificate in Workplace Safety and Health
- Possess a valid registration with MOM as Workplace Safety and Health Officer (WSHO) is an advantage.
- Possess Management of Hazardous Substance (MHS) course preferred
- Possess in depth knowledge of local legislation (e.g. WSH/SCDF/NEA), ISO45001, ISO14001 and procedures.
- Possess good organizational skills and meticulous.
