Working in a US Data Centre environment
Work location: town area & on-site in Changi area
- Involve in client's prospecting including supporting RFP, clients' site tour preparation and assist in proposal generation, pricing and negotiations
- Evaluate preliminary design solutions to meet requirements and cater to customer needs
- Proposal and design most efficient data centre floor plans using AutoCAD
- Work with customers to review facility engineering drawings
- Interact with internal and external stakeholders to review design guidelines
- Use computational fluid dynamics modelling program to analyse cooling architectures
- Keep abreast with current technology trends in facility infrastructure
- Network and attend technical forums
Requirement
- Diploma / Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
- 3 years of experience as a technical or pre-sales roles in the data centre or telco industry involving infrastructure design projects, server racks setup, floor plan planning in a subcontractors or OEM environment
- Understand electrical design / layout in a data centre, telecom or engineering consultancy or related field
- Technical knowledge in electrical / mechical / cooling systems in a mission critical infrastructure setup
- Able to work in a cross -functional project management environment
- Good presentation skills and comfortable working with customers directly
