Human Resource Executive

Job Overview:

As a Human Resources Executive at MIJ Hub Ltd, you will be responsible for overseeing the overall human resources function and providing strategic direction to support the organization's mission of providing exceptional care and support to individuals with special needs. You will take the lead and collaborate with organizational leaders to develop and implement HR strategies, policies, and programs that attract, develop, and retain talented individuals who are dedicated to our mission.


You will work closely with Program Heads, Operations Team (Including Centre Supervisors) and Marketing Team to deliver the full spectrum of HR functions including but not limited to recruitment & selection, HR administration and Employee Engagement and Employee Relations.


Key Responsibilities:


1. Strategic HR Planning:

  • Develop and execute HR strategies aligned with the organization's mission, vision, and values.
  • Collaborate with senior management to identify HR priorities and initiatives that support the organization's long-term goals.
  • Conduct regular needs assessments to identify gaps and develop action plans to address them.

2. Talent Acquisition and Management:

  • Oversee the recruitment and selection process, ensuring the organization attracts qualified candidates for various positions, including specialized roles related to special needs care and support.
  • Develop and implement effective talent management strategies to attract, develop, and retain high-performing employees.
  • Create and maintain a positive employer brand to enhance the organization's reputation as an employer of choice.

3. Onboarding and Offboarding:

  • Oversee the onboarding process for new hires, ensuring a smooth transition into the organization.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive onboarding programs to facilitate new employees' integration, including orientation, training, and introductions to relevant policies and procedures.
  • Ensure the offboarding process is handled efficiently and professionally, including exit interviews, return of company property, and necessary documentation.

4. Employee Relations and Engagement:

  • Develop and implement employee engagement initiatives to foster a positive work environment and promote employee satisfaction and well-being.
  • Act as a trusted advisor and provide guidance to managers and employees on employee relations matters, including conflict resolution, performance management, and disciplinary actions.
  • Oversee employee recognition and rewards programs to enhance employee motivation and retention.

5. Training and Development:

  • Identify organizational training and development needs, particularly related to special needs care and support, and design and implement effective programs to address those needs.
  • Foster a culture of continuous learning and professional development by providing coaching and mentoring to managers and employees.
  • Collaborate with external training providers and educational institutions to leverage resources and opportunities for employee development.

6. HR Policy Development and Compliance:

  • Develop, implement, and maintain HR policies, procedures, and guidelines to ensure compliance with relevant employment laws and regulations.
  • Stay updated on changes in employment legislation and industry best practices and recommend necessary policy revisions accordingly.
  • Oversee HR-related compliance activities, such as employee record-keeping, privacy, and data protection.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • A Diploma in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • At least 2 years of experience in human resources or related field
  • Strong knowledge of employment laws and regulations pertaining to special needs care and support.
  • Demonstrated experience in strategic HR planning, talent acquisition, employee relations, and organizational development.
  • Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and build strong relationships at all levels of the organization.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a strategic mindset.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
  • Knowledge of relevant health and safety laws
  • Competency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook
