Purpose and Scope
As a key member of maintenance team, you will be leading a dedicated team and responsible for the gas plant and service corridor maintenance with the aim of meeting performance targets of reliability and availability and complying fully with regulatory requirements, company policies, SOPs and HSSE standard.
Key Roles and Responsibilities
- Overall responsible for maintenance of gas receiving terminal, end user’s metering skids, utilities customers battery limit and service corridor to ensure reliability and compliance.
- Align department's direction with the overall organizational and business strategies.
- Provide guidance and supervision to maintenance team to ensure all the different sections within the department is functioning smoothly and timely execution of maintenance tasks. Continuously reviewing and enhancing existing systems (e.g. budgeting, work management etc.) and ensuring that the processes are safe to support operations.
- Review/endorse the final findings/recommendations of root cause failure analysis of major equipment/process failure to prevent future occurrence and ultimately improve reliability.
- Review and recommend annual budget for Maintenance Department; reviewing staffing, equipment, and monitors expenditures after budget adoption; approves purchase requisitions.
- Identify potential areas towards increasing company profits through suitable plant maintenance practices, modifications, debottlenecking, improved and more efficient work methods.
- Management of all approved maintenance contracts. Ensure all maintenance contracts are negotiated and executed in compliance with Sembcorp’s policies.
- Ensure compliances with all regulatory requirements.
- Ensure compliances with Sembcorp policies and procedures requirements.
- Ensures that all maintenance work, whether by plant personnel or contractors, is conducted in a manner consistent with Sembcorp safety programs and works does not violate these programs.
- Supervises and oversees Maintenance personnel skill improvement, training, and safety program; Identify and mentor high potentials to enhance resource pipeline/prepare for future challenges.
- Participate in new projects design reviews, due diligence on new products/technology and provide Subject-Matter-Experts (SME) insights to project team.
- Flexibility in supporting other Sembcorp plants whenever required.
Qualifications & Experience
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Preferably minimum 10 years of experience in Maintenance fields and 5 years in Maintenance Management in a Power & Utilities Plant, Gas Plant or Petrochemical Industry.
- Extensive gas and utilities maintenance technical and leadership experience with a work history that demonstrates a pattern of accomplishments and advancement will be an advantage.
- Working knowledge of instrumentation and controls, electricity, rotating equipment, structural maintenance are highly desired
