Overview of role
P&G has established Singapore’s the largest private research facility in the heart of Biopolis, Singapore’s Life Sciences Hub. In this role, you will specialize in image and multi-omics analysis. You will also be responsible for developing and implementing cutting-edge AI models and tools to analyze and integrate diverse biological data, including but not limited to images, genomics, transcriptomics, proteomics, and metabolomics data. Your team
Located at the P&G Singapore Innovation Center, you will be part of the Global BioScience organization. You will have the opportunity to work in global & regional multi-functional teams and engage with both internal and external partners.

- Innovation and Problem Solving: Successfully applying computational techniques to address complex biological questions or challenges to reveal business applicable insights.
- Algorithms and Models for Real-world Application: Develop & integrate algorithms, models, and methodologies that solve complex AI problems or improve the performance of existing AI systems is a crucial success criterion. Successfully translate the models into practical applications that can be scaled and used in real-world scenarios.
- Data integration and Management:. Develop data ETL pipelines and tools that help to automate data integration/management, visualize complex data, or provide a platform for data sharing.
- Collaborations: Building successful partnership with experimental biologists, data engineers, and internal/external collaborators that can lead to interdisciplinary breakthroughs. The ability to bridge the gap between computational analysis and biological experimentation is highly valued.
- Continued Learning: Demonstrate a commitment to staying updated with new methodologies, technologies, and research trends is important for long-term success.
Key Responsibilities
- Image Analysis: Develop and implement algorithms and computational pipelines for the analysis of biological images, including microscopy, clinical images, and other imaging modalities.
- Multi-omics Data Analysis & Integration: Apply state-of-the-art computational methods to analyze and integrate diverse biological datasets, including but not limited to genomics, transcriptomics, proteomics, and metabolomics data.
- AI and Machine Learning: Utilize AI and machine learning algorithms to uncover patterns, correlations, and predictive models from multi-dimensional biological datasets, enabling a better understanding of biological processes and mechanisms. These may involve feature selection, dimensionality reduction, clustering, and predictive modelling.
- Data Integration: Work on integrating image data with other biological data types to comprehensively understand biological systems and mechanisms.
- Data Management: Design and optimize databases to efficiently store and retrieve multi-omics and image data. Ensure data integrity and security while facilitating easy access for researchers.
- Collaborative Research: Collaborate with experimental biologists and other researchers to design experiments, analyze data, and interpret results in a multidisciplinary environment.
Job Qualifications
- Masters or Ph.D. in Computational Biology, Bioinformatics, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Proficiency in programming languages commonly used in computational biology, such as Python, or R.
- Experience with AI and general-purpose machine learning techniques and libraries.
- Knowledge of database management and data integration methodologies.
- Understanding of statistical methods for analyzing biological data.
- Familiarity with image analysis and relevant software packages. These analyses may include image segmentation, feature extraction, object detection, and tracking.
- Proficiency in utilizing bioinformatics databases and resources for biological data analysis.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex biological data.
- Understand historical and cutting-edge approaches in computational biology, bioinformatics, and AI and incorporate the right methodologies for the job.
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams and present findings to stakeholders
