My client is a Singapore based company that was established in 1988 and has been doing business in the offshore oil industry until today. With over 30 years of professional experience, they specialize in anchor handling, towing and transporting a wide range of materials including modules, offshore structures, cranes and heavy lifting equipment. They have a fully equipped office in Singapore to facilitate the coordination of their global operations and support offices in Indonesia, operations in the Middle East and offices in the UK, UAE and Australia
Key responsibilities
- Provide primary purchasing, expediting and tracking services for assigned group of vessels
- Estimate and establish cost parameters and budgets for purchases
- Responsible for sourcing, comparison and selection with existing / potential new suppliers
- Handling purchase requisition, quote and issuance of PO
- Negotiate the best deal for pricing and supply contracts
skills & experience required

- Minimum Diploma in Supply Chain Management
- Minimum 3 years’ experience as a buyer or related position
- Good negotiation skills.
- Reliable, meticulous, resourceful and aggressive in sourcing
