CO+I is responsible for delivering over 200 Microsoft web portals, Live and Online Services around the world including infrastructure, security and compliance, operations, globalization, and manageability. We are looking for a passionate, high energy individual to help build the network that powers the world’s largest online services.

Within CO+I, the Data Center Availability Improvement Team is responsible for ensuring the uptime, reliability and availability of Microsoft’s cloud business data centers. Microsoft has a portfolio of data centers globally and the Availability Improvement Team is looking to fill the vital role of Program Manager.

Responsibilities

  • Work with internal Microsoft teams to collect and compile Availability metrics and scorecards for APAC datacenter sites and region.
  • Train and coach teams on objective KPIs and drive projects working with Operations site and Regional leadership to establish Availability Improvement initiatives
  • Track projects and establish dashboards to provide status of Availability Improvement programs
  • Proactively identify trends, cause of defects based on data analysis, make recommendations for cause investigations and project creation for lease and owned sites
  • Initiate Technical Service Bulletins (TSBs) for high-risk incidents and containment measures.
  • Engage with internal and external partners for funding, approval and implementation of critical infrastructure changes.
  • Drive global standardization and consistency of processes, procedures and reports with Operations teams for Quarterly Business Reviews
  • Work with Operations EEs and MEs to establish visual standards, process improvement and error proofing systems to drive efficiency with the business.
  • Identify and monitor the need for use of new tools to improve the quality of data and analytics.

Qualifications

  • Must have strong lean background with hands-on expertise in continuous improvement
  • Must have good understanding of datacenter and topologies or equivalent Mission Critical facility background
  • Must have strong analytical skills – must be able to extract and summarize large, complex data from multiple databases and systems
  • Must be a team player with ability to influence cross functional team and leadership team in driving process improvement and efficiencies
  • Good communications skills both written and verbal to work with people at all levels of management.
  • Strong understanding of data analysis tools and techniques such as PowerBI
  • Good organizational skills
  • Must demonstrate strong attention to detail
  • Familiarity with ISO, ITIL standards and procedures

Education and Background:

  • Must have a minimum of bachelor’s degree in Engineering – Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial or other or Equivalent Experience
  • Minimum 5-10 years of relevant work experience
  • Experience in in datacenter or manufacturing / operations environment
  • Good understanding of data visualization tools and techniques
