Job Summary
Responsible for establishing and executing successful sales and marketing strategies for Catering and Events Sales (including Corporate, Social and Wedding groups) to achieve or exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue budgeted for Pullman Singapore Hill Street.
Maximize sales, grow business share and ensure Pullman Singapore Hill Street maintain the highest level of professional profile throughout the industry in Singapore.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Working closely with Director of Sales & Marketing in leading the commercial planning and execution of cooperative sales and marketing effort
- Optimizing revenue opportunities and driving sales from Catering and Event Sales
- To increase the profile and profitability of Event Sales and developing new business and repeat business by providing excellent customer service and exceptional event deliveries
- Increase the conversion rate for Catering sales by 5% year-on-year
- Ensure all enquiries are answered within 24-hour
- To take over handover files from Sales team for definite events once the Agreement is signed
- Make best effort to upsell or drive additional revenue from each Event
- Check room block and meeting space are blocked correctly in Opera against Agreement
- Arrange site inspection or appointment to meet up with the customers to finalize all guest room, meeting and F&B arrangements, etc. Ensure deposits and payments are received by the hotel on time according to the payment schedule stipulated in the Agreement
- Issue BEOs for all Events including floor plan, menu and rooming list
- Spearheading the weekly BEO meeting and organize pre-con meeting for VIP events
- Conduct Telemarketing to solicit new business leads
- Initiating and executing tactical promotions and campaigns to drive Corporate, Wedding and Social Event sales
- Participation in conference calls, company related social events and functions as and when required by the management after office hours, weekends and public holidays
- Any other additional duties or projects assigned by Director of Sales & Marketing
Skills, Experience & Educational Requirements
- Minimum 5 years’ experience related to Catering Sales in hotels
- Minimum of undergraduate education
- Strong Interpersonal skills
- Strong team player
- Good Presentation Skills
- Management reporting skills
- Strong Communication Skills (written, verbal and formal presentation style)
- Strong Microsoft Office skills and knowledge of Opera (desirable)
- Speaks English Fluently
