Purpose:
Applies Project knowledge, Engineering knowledge and experience to coordinate the engineering and design of a project and support the fabrication, installation, commissioning and start up of Hull and Marine facilities and equipment/ utilities interface associated with the conversion and outfitting of FSO / FPSO.
Responsibilities:
- To Coordinate the multi-disciplinary engineering and design activities for Hull and Marine facilities of FPSO project.
- Coordinate with the engineering disciplines to set up Engineering and Design systems, Engineering Schedule, Master document Register (MDR), Procurement Schedule
- Coordinate with the engineering disciplines to issue all deliverables as per schedule
- Develop Level 3 and Level 4 (MDR) schedules of Marine engineering
- Implement engineering change management for the Hull and Marine engineering post design freeze in all disciplines including communication, tracking and approval by the relevant stakeholders
- Coordinate with Engineering disciplines to respond and closeout of Class Society comments, Client Technical Queries, Site Queries and Operation Queries for Hull and Marine
- Coordinate with the Ship Yard Engineering subcontractors and Third Party specialists for Hull and Marine facilities
- Support Marine Engineering Manager in forecasting and mobilizing engineering and design resources for Marine Engineering
- Ensure compliance with Company's Standards and Procedures with specific attention to change management and deviation approval process
- Support Marine Engineering Maanger in developing solutions to non-recurring problems by analyzing, interpreting and evaluating various precedents and data.
- Identify and integrate Safety, Quality requirements in the Design to ensure safe operability and maintainability
- Support Marine Engineering Manager in conduct of Project Design Reviews, Technical Audits etc
- Incumbent needs to be make timely engineering decision in case multiple valid solutions to challenges are generated, based on sound engineering practice and project objectives
- To be adequately familiar with the key activities and needs of all the engineering disciplines in Marine Engineering and how these activities interact and are sequenced, and the implications is a major challenge
- To be able to deal efficiently, professionally and tactfully with numerous stakeholders who may have different focus and priorities, both internal and external is a challenge
- Support Engineering Manager and project management in review, risk assessment, and close-out of engineering issues
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering with minimum 12 years experience or Masters Degree in Engineering with minimum 10 years experience.
- Specialist knowledge of at least one FPSO .
- Working knowledge of competing and alternative technologies.
- Have adequate knowledge of design codes and regulatory requirements. Familiar in use of Software, Database systems related to Engineering functions
