ABOUT SAINT LAURENT
Founded in 1961, Yves Saint Laurent was the first couture house to introduce the concept of luxury prêt-à-porter in a 1966 collection called ‘Rive Gauche’, synonymous with youth and freedom. This shift represented a first critical step in the modernization of fashion and revolutionized the socio-cultural landscape.
In 1999, the luxury goods division of the Kering Group acquired Yves Saint Laurent and, under the creative direction of Anthony Vaccarello since April 2016, continues to position the house at the summit of the luxury universe.
Today, Saint Laurent collections include women’s and men’s ready-to-wear, shoes, handbags, small leather goods, jewelry, scarves, ties and eyewear.
ROLE
This position is based in the Saint Laurent Singapore office, reporting directly to the Store Planning Director, managing store projects across Southeast Asia.
MISSION
Project Management
- Manage and oversee all types of construction projects: new stores, renovation, pop-ups, reinstatement
- Control and lead all aspects of project from inception through to completion, work with HQ Design team, country leaders, and in-house functional parties on project planning, store design, project finance and time management
- Closely monitor projects and work with all related parties to ensure corporate standards and statutory requirements are achieved
- Lead the local contractors, vendors and consultants to achieve corporate design intent; resolve design issues and delivery through efficient construction details and process
- Anticipate and react to all conditions that may impact project budget or timelines
- Manage and ensure proper documentation from the beginning to the end of the projects
Financial and Cost Management
- Forecast expenditures for projects and manage the budget
- Select local and overseas contractors, vendors to deliver projects within budget, time, and corporate standards
- Review and analyze cost to identify cost-saving opportunities which do not impact upon the overall design concept
PROFILE
- Degree holder or equivalent in Architecture, Interior Design, Construction Management or related field
- Minimum 8 years experience in managing store projects for international luxury fashion brands preferred
- Good team player with a mature working attitude and able to work under pressure
- Strong interpersonal and management skills with a keen awareness of current market development and updates
- Good knowledge of building systems, HVAC, electrical, mechanical, and able to work with local consultants on all statutory requirements/ submissions
- Good command of written and spoken English
- Proficient in MS Excel, Projects, AutoCAD, Photoshop and Sketch-up
