Sitting in IB&M’s Institutional Banking Coverage business, the Institutional Client Coverage covers Banks, Government and Education client relationships through the provisioning of advice, structuring and execution of product solutions tailored to the needs of our client groups.
This is an exciting opportunity to join the Institutional Client Coverage, Banks Team, based in Singapore.
Your Impact and Contribution
This position has responsibility for ongoing relationship development with banks based in South / Southeast Asia, with due reporting lines. The role reports to local management and Executive Director, Institutional Client Coverage, based in Beijing who is responsible for regional business development in Asia.
As an Associate Director / Director, the role includes revenue generation targets which you will meet by understanding our customers’ aspirations and how that intersects with the company’s offering, in particular across Payments; FX; debt capital markets; fixed income investments; securities trading; trade finance; commodities; carbon as well as our technology and service proposition.
You will work closely with your colleagues in Singapore as well as across Beijing, Hong Kong, New York, London, Amsterdam, Australia and New Zealand to provide proactive client support as well as feedback to ensure tomorrow’s solutions are being developed today. We are product agnostic with a strong growth agenda and are looking for passionate, customer-obsessed bankers with a high appetite for industry content development and thought leadership.

This hands-on role requires a highly motivated self-starter with proven experience working with Bank customers. As such, we require a highly skilled candidate with:
- Tertiary qualifications in a business related discipline
- Institutional Banking and/or Markets product sales experience
- Strong interpersonal, negotiation and collaborative skills
- Curiosity and desire to drive change and deliver improvement across the business
- An understanding of risk management, financial crime and credit
