The University Scholars Programme (NTU-USP) leads a University-wide commitment to provide an intellectually stimulating and enriching academic environment for the best students of NTU. The programme focuses nurturing creative and reflective global citizens devoted to understanding our ever-changing world.

Reporting to the Assistant Director, the incumbent will ensure the smooth implementation of the programme’s curriculum including fieldwork management, admission, scholarships and bursary, distinguished speaker series, asset management, student internship and special projects.

Responsibilities:

Curriculum Management

  • Manage academic operations, including timetable planning, course registration, and examinations
  • Update and maintain the student database
  • Monitor students' progress, address challenges and review exceptional cases for recommendations
  • Effective coordination of logistics, ensuring smooth class trips and overseeing meticulous planning for overseas fieldwork

Admissions Matters

  • Supervise executive staff on admissions matters
  • Co-lead recruitment process, including conducting interviews and collaborating with programme coordinators
  • Recruit and manage the student buddy system
  • Plan and execute admissions-related events
  • Analyse and report admission statistics
  • Administer and compile surveys for post admissions and events

Student/Internship Matters

  • Act as the main point of contact for student welfare
  • Maintain up-to-date student records, academic planning, resource allocation and support service

Finance & Administration

  • Monitor and manage the programme budget
  • Provide secretariat support in the planning, development, and implementation of policies and procedures
  • Manage assets

Special Projects

  • Ensure successful completion of project objectives and deliverables within the specified scope
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate risks that may impact project success.

Requirements:

  • A degree holder with a minimum of 3-4 years of working experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Adobe, presentation, meeting and analysis tools
  • Excellent communication (both written and verbal) and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and connect with diverse stakeholders
  • Meticulous and able to maintain professionalism under tight deadlines
  • Ability to innovate and look for ways to add value and deliver outcomes that exceed expectations
