Job Purpose:
The Event Executive supports the Event, Marketing and Business Development (EMBD) Manager with event-related matters which includes: events planning, coordination and implementation during events.
The EE reports directly to the EMBD Manager of the Singapore Canoe Federation (SCF). For all event-related decisions, the EE would need to seek approval from the EMBD Manager. For programmes, course and other administrative decisions, the EE would seek approval from the General Manager.
Key Duties/ Responsibilities
1. Facilitate in event management for all SCF events, such as annual national championships. This will include the pre-event preparations and post-event closing activities.
2. Together with the operations team, coordinate with vendors / suppliers for goods and services where required for events in terms of equipment and facility maintenance.
3. Serve as the primary contact between event planning committees, contractors, organisers, sponsors and organization operation to ensure smooth execution of all functions supporting the event activities.
4. Plan and propose event budget, programme rundown and workflow, manage proposal, coordinate and manage the set-up and production, safety and risk management of all events. Develop and monitor budgets to ensure revenue and expenses are kept within established boundaries.
5. Attend to enquires pertaining to events, courses and programmes.
6. Handle and manage all corporate events, courses and programmes.
7. Assist in processing of course certificates and coaching certificates issued by SCF.
8. Other duties as required.
Educational background and professional knowledge Requirements
Tertiary qualification – Diploma or Degree in any field
Working Experience Requirements
At least 2 years of relevant working experience.
Prior experience in Sport Event Management/National Sports Associations will be an advantage

· Possession of Pleasure craft driving licence (PPCDL) and/or First Aid Certification will be an added advantage
