Job Summary:As an Account Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the finance and accounting team in various tasks, contributing to the overall efficiency of financial operations. This position requires strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and a basic understanding of accounting principles.


Key Responsibilities:

  1. Financial Record Keeping:Assist in maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records.
    Enter financial transactions into accounting software.
  2. Invoicing and Billing:Generate and process invoices.
    Verify and reconcile billing discrepancies.
  3. Accounts Payable and Receivable:Process accounts payable transactions, including vendor payments.
    Assist in the collection of accounts receivable.
  4. Reconciliation:Reconcile bank statements and credit card statements.
    Investigate and resolve discrepancies in financial reports.
  5. Assist in Financial Reporting:Prepare basic financial reports as directed by senior staff.
    Support in the analysis of financial data.
  6. Expense Management:Track and manage employee expenses.
    Ensure compliance with the company's expense policies.
  7. Documentation and Filing:Organize and maintain financial documents and records.
    Assist in the preparation for audits.
  8. Collaboration:Work closely with the accounting team and other departments.
    Provide support during month-end and year-end closing processes.

Qualifications:

  • Education: A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
  • Experience: Previous experience as a finance or accounting assistant is a plus.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel. Familiarity with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks) is desirable.
  • Communication Skills: Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Detail-Oriented: Strong attention to detail and accuracy in work.
  • Organizational Skills: Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
  • Team Player: Collaborative attitude and willingness to work in a team environment.
