Requirements:
- Hold a university degree and/or possess a minimum of three (3) years of relevant work experience.
- Demonstrate effective leadership, control, and communication skills, as well as the ability to collaborate within a team.
Operating under the supervision of the Commercial Manager, the Assistant Commercial Manager is tasked with the following responsibilities:
- Ensuring that vessels under full management adhere to contractual terms outlined in the respective management agreement.
- Informing Technical Superintendents about the management agreement for vessels under their oversight.
- Generating accurate and timely monthly and quarterly accounts/reports.
- Collaborating with the Commercial Manager and respective Technical Superintendent to control and monitor vessel budgets.
- Establishing communication channels with Owners regarding budgetary matters.
- Possessing a comprehensive understanding of the Company’s Management System.
- Effectively implementing the Company’s Management System.
- Contributing to the development or amendment of procedures.
- Promoting and supporting continuous improvement efforts.
- Preparing budget proposals in coordination with Technical Superintendents and Technical Fleet Managers.
- Submitting budget proposals to vessel owners by the end of each calendar year, ensuring follow-up on relevant issues until approval.
- Distributing approved budgets to all concerned parties.
- Overseeing the purchasing function to control costs.
- Undertaking special tasks and projects as directed by the Commercial Manager or Technical Director.
- Collaborating closely with Technical Department Managers.
- Arranging purchasing training sessions for Purchasers.
- Ensuring that purchasing services align with the purchasing manual.
- Verifying that Purchasers maintain the computerized purchasing program.
- Demonstrating a thorough understanding of the Company’s Management System.
- Effectively implementing the Company’s Management System.
- Contributing to the development or amendment of procedures.
- Promoting and supporting continuous improvement efforts.
- Evaluating suppliers’ performance in collaboration with all Company offices and affiliates.
- Assisting the Commercial Manager in monitoring the company’s financial exposure on each Client and notifying Top Management of significant exposures.
