- Leading the kitchen staff during the Head Chef’s absence
- Guiding and supervising the junior kitchen staff during food preparation
- Assisting the Head Chef in menu preparation
- Planning and managing food preparation in restaurant kitchens
- Training new staff
- Inventory and orders to suppliers
- Designing menus together with the Head Chef
- Preparing, cooking and presenting food in accordance with restaurant standards
