Job Description
- Business partnership with BU, operations, and supply chain related to inventory and manufacturing cost management.
- Analysis of cost accounting data and assistance with physical inventory processes.
- Involved in month-end closing, including journal entries and analysis of inventory-related items.
- Detailed account analysis and reconciliation of sales, deferred sales, cost of sales, and other inventory-related accounts.
- Monthly and quarterly gross margin analysis on related business and product
- Review and analysis of fixed and variable cost reports, including commentary on cost behaviours.
- Coordination with Operations for presentation slides and preparation of Finance's slides for manufacturing cost review meetings.
- Conducting annual physical inventory counts, quarterly E&O reviews, and bi-annual standard cost revaluation exercises.
- Ensure internal control documentation and compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley Section 404 is up to date.
The Successful Applicant
- A degree in accounting / professional qualification (eg CPA, ACCA) or its equivalent.
- At least 3 to 5 years of relevant working experience.
- Tech Savvy, good familiarity with accounting software such as Oracle / COGNOS and Microsoft Office applications eg Excel/Word/PowerPoint will be beneficial
- Ability to work independently
- Able to communicate and work in a team effectively.
- A hands-on individual with good time management, analytical mindset and problem-solving skill
