XCL World Academy is seeking to appoint a Secondary Years French Teacher. This is a full-time contract position starting from 1 August 2024.
Preference will be given to teachers who have relevant subject-specific IB MYP and DP experience, as well as a clear track record of superior teaching in international school settings.
Main Responsibilities
Teachers should be willing to contribute positively to the collaborative culture of the department and broader SY Team.
Demonstrates to professional ethics, international mindedness and the school’s mission
Adheres cooperatively to XCL policies and regulations, including duties, deadlines, programme requirements (IB).
Seeks clarification in case of lack of clarity in order to fully meet all expectations of the role and sets and maintains high standards of professionalism.
Contribute to the development of curriculum and assessment documentation.
Show exemplary attendance to work eg. recognizes the importance and provides support for XCL extended school day activities.
Person Specifications
Undergraduate degree from a recognized university or college
Possess skills and attitudes aligned to the purpose, mission and vision of XCL World Academy
Need clear eagerness, resilience and understanding to engage and collaborate in the development of a highly aspirational school.
Have demonstrated commitment and education and learning beyond the classroom.
Be flexible and willing to take on new challenges.
Teaching experience and professional certification specific to applied position
Minimum of two years’ experience as a class teacher, preferably in an international K-12 school
Preferred minimum 2 years of relevant IB programme experience
Individual's must be comfortable to share their vaccination reports and should meet the vaccination requirement in Singapore. Refer to https://www.mom.gov.sg/covid-19/vaccination-requirements-as-a-condition-for-mom-passes for the latest requirements.
Salary commensurate with experience (International School) and according to the School's teaching scale.
This is a full time 2 year contract position , renewal will be offered based on performances and class allocations.
