Our client, a global manufacturing leader in the Semiconductor/Electronics sector, is in search of a R&D Digital IC Design Engineer to join their team in Singapore. With over 300 operating locations worldwide and 40+ manufacturing sites, this role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge semiconductor technology within a renowned company.
The Digital IC Design Engineer will be working on contributing to the development of a wide range of electronic devices, from microcontrollers and processors to application-specific integrated circuits (ASICs). Their work is essential for achieving optimal performance, power efficiency, and reliability in digital systems.
The Responsibilities:
- Collaborate in ASIC digital design projects, actively engaging in RTL coding using Verilog
- Perform simulation, RTL and gate-level verification, and code coverage analysis to ensure robust designs
- Develop and maintain effective testbenches to support comprehensive testing of digital designs
- Execute logic synthesis for optimized performance and contribute to thorough design documentation
- Power Analysis: Evaluate and optimize power consumption of the digital circuit, considering both static and dynamic power requirements
- Documentation: Create comprehensive design documentation, including specifications, design reports, and test plans
- Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including software engineers, system architects, and verification engineers, to ensure seamless integration of digital components into larger systems
- Problem-Solving: Identify and resolve issues related to the design, simulation, or implementation of digital circuits
The Requirements:
- Master's or Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering
- 3 years of preferred ASIC design experience
- Proficiency in the ASIC design flow
- Strong experience in RTL coding with Verilog and adept at digital simulation debugging
- Familiarity with UNIX/Linux environment and scripting
- Team player with excellent communication skills
- Proven ability to work independently, adapt flexibly, and is a creative thinker
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
